Treatment. We treat chronic pain at our Center with pain-blocking and anti-inflammatory drugs. Depending on the underlying disease and the site of the pain, epidural steroid injections will block trigger points, and we can also inject anaesthetics near the peripheral nerves.

We understand that each individual's sensitivity to pain is different, so at the Center, we choose the treatment that you need to block the pain and that allows you to resume your normal routine.

Our goal - is to treat the primary disease and its chronic pain in an integrated manner and to return patients to full life.

A consultant for pain management should have all the extracts and records of the tests performed, and any information on pain treatment that has already been tried.  During the consultation, the pain specialist examines the patient and selects the most appropriate invasive method to treat the pain and establishes the treatment schedule.

There are limits on the number of approved pain medications that can be safely used throughout the year, so it is important that the patient visit one pain specialist to provide full information on the treatment that has been available so far.

Usually patients are referred to a pain specialist by a family doctor or neurologist if their pain management methods do not produce the desired effect.

Chronic pain is usually triggered by radiculopathies and myofascial syndrome. After suffering the pain that accompanies these diseases for a long time, the body gets used to it. As the human nervous system becomes more sensitive to such pain, it becomes less and less irritable enough to produce chronic pain. Not only does invasive pain management relieve uncomfortable feelings, it also helps the body regain balance and relieve sensation.

Radiculopathy – Most well-known for radiculitis pain, myofascial syndrome – chronic muscle pain due to muscle strain caused by irregular posture, spinal deformities or other causes. Chronic pain is also often manifested as neuralgia, with pain caused by direct nerve damage such as post-herpetic neuralgia.

At our Center, we treat the primary disease and its chronic pain in a comprehensive way. We do away with pain, the patient regains freedom of movement, but the disease that caused the pain also needs to be cured. For example, in myofascial syndrome, muscle tension needs to be restored. Here the pain treatment specialist is assisted by rehabilitation specialists and physical medicine specialists.
