Dr. Bičkauskas is one of Lithuania’s most experienced surgeons. He carries out vascular reconstructive surgeries, venous surgeries by the open surgical method, laser vein surgery and drug occlusion (sclerotherapy). He was the first surgeon in Lithuania to start using a new treatment for varicose veins using glue, a method which is rapidly gaining popularity. As part of his continuous professional development Dr Bičkauskas regularly attends courses and conferences in Lithuania and abroad (Norway, USA, Germany, France).

1981–1987 Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine

1987–1988 Internship of surgery at Experimental Clinic under Medical Research Institute.

Work experience has been accumulated since 1988.

From 2009, vascular surgeon at Medical Diagnostics and Treatment Center

From 2006, vascular surgeon–consultant at Department of Surgery of Šeškinės Clinic

From 2000 vascular surgeon at Beauty Therapy and Surgery Clinic

1992–2013 doctor-vascular surgeon at 1st Department of Vascular Surgery of Vilnius City University Hospital

1988–1992 doctor-vascular surgeon at 2nd Department of Vascular Surgery of Vilnius City University Hospital

Nerijus performs all reconstructive vascular surgeries, vein surgeries by open surgical method, laser, medical bioadhesives and medicinal products (over 800 procedures per year). He is the only doctor in Lithuania, who treats varicose, using the latest method in the world – medical bioadhesives.
