At our Centre, coloproctologists consult adults on ALL diseases of the colon, rectum and anus, and perform surgeries.

The most common diseases and ailments: haemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal fistula, pilonidal sinus, anal or rectal and colon polyps, rectal prolapse, rectal ulcer, etc.

Treatmentour Centre offers all the methods which are based on scientific evidence and which are available worldwide at the moment to treat proctological diseases. We customize the treatment for each patient individually and select the most appropriate surgical method. Coloproctologists prioritize safe methods which will have the least effect on the patient’s quality of life and cause the least discomfort or post-operative pain.

We make every effort to treat patients in the shortest time possible.

We examine our patients, diagnose the disease and prescribe treatment in 1 day.*
*In rare instances for the final diagnosis to be confirmed, an exam which may take more than one day is needed.

Usually the patient can go home on the same day after the surgery, or in 1-2 days in more difficult cases.

For the treatment of some proctological diseases to be successful, close cooperation between the coloproctologist and gastroenterologists, endoscopists, surgeons, and other specialists is needed.

Frequently asked questions

Contact a coloproctologist if:

  • you have noticed unusual symptoms in your anus;
  • you have noticed mucus in your anus;
  • your anus feels itchy or painful;
  • you have noticed blood in your stool;
  • you have noticed prolapsed haemorrhoids.

Sometimes these symptoms indicate some other diseases, not of the proctological kind, but this should be evaluated by the doctor.

First, the doctor will listen to your complaints (what symptoms you have been experiencing and for how long) and examine you—examine the anal canal with insertion of a finger or rectoscope—if needed.
These exams usually suffice to detect haemorrhoids, fissures, or fistulas.
If the doctor suspects you having a colon polyp, you will be advised to undergo a colonoscopy, endoscopy of the large intestine.

You and your doctor will discuss if you need additional exams and how to prepare for them.
After a thorough examination, the proctologist will be able to offer you treatment options and answer any related questions.

Thanks to modern medicine, unpleasant sensations during proctology exams are reduced down to the minimum, so the patient truly has nothing to worry about. If the disease is diagnosed in time, doctors have more treatment options available to them and patients have a higher chance of recovery and better quality of life.

We recommend fasting for 3-4 hours prior to a consultation with a proctologist and having a cleansing enema (you can buy the micro-enema Microlax at the pharmacy) 2 hours in advance.
